No Child Should be Left Behind

The Gazette Today, No child should left behind in getting basic needs including education.

LEARN. ACHIEVE. EXPLORE.

Every child deserves these opportunities and learns the things they wanted to, also which helps them to thrive now. That means in this century.

Do you know that millions of children are missing out on these changes?

It could be any kind of needs, emotional, educational, psychological, or financial. Even the reason should be anything; it may be discrimination, poverty, the quality of educational institutes are offering, or maybe because of the pressure of society and parent’s needs until it affects them.

Surprisingly, some people try to emphasize work on their kids because of that.

In my opinion our emphasis should not be so much on how we can teach them but how we can make our child learn and grow mature emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. They can make their way if they are strong and have the right guidance, therefore, we cannot help our children find the voice within them if we have not found our own, we cannot help our children to be healthy if we have not created health for ourselves, we cannot help them have self-confidence unless we have it. Their self-respect depends on our self-respect, their inner peace on ours, and their self-mastery on our self-mastery.

According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in psychology, there is the basic needs pyramid, which is applicable for everyone:-

1. Biological and physiological needs – air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sleep, etc.

2. Safety needs – protection from elements, security, order, law, stability, freedom from fear.

3. Love and belongingness needs – friendship, intimacy, trust, and acceptance, receiving and giving affection and love. Affiliating, being a part of a gaggle (family, friends, work).

4. Esteem needs – which Maslow classified into two categories:

(i) Esteem for oneself (dignity, achievement, mastery, and independence).

(ii) The will for reputation or respect from others (e.g., status, prestige).

5. Self-actualization needs – realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth, and peak experiences. A desire “to become everything one is capable of becoming”

After going through this, we also know that beyond the basic needs, to become the functioning part of this society, children need support in developing and learning i.e. Education. A proper and good education is extremely important for all folks.

Education is a very important tool that plays a part in the life and growth of a child.

It facilitates quality learning during the life among people of any age bracket, caste, creed, religion, and region. It is the method of achieving knowledge, values, skills, beliefs, and moral habits.

As we know that “If a child is educated then further the whole family is educated.” This means our world is educated and empowered, it begins with home and continues throughout with time.

It is the foundation of life that supports a child throughout the difficult times, helps is exploring themselves, makes part of a good society, and most importantly provides financial support further. It is not even bound for rich or poor ones. Everyone is equal in its eyes.

So education isn’t a luxury, but a basic need in contemporary life, a person’s right and not a grant.

The list of children’s needs will by no means be complete, it will continue and get more complex, debatable as we lighten more this topic.

(Not teaching them, just learn.)

Every single child deserves to be secured, happy, and unconditionally loved. They should get a chance to study, explore, laugh, and cry, being confused, love, hate, and breathe without feeling any kind of pressure.

And it plays a vital role though

How beautifully you have written bhumi🤗

  2. True lines… Although most of us forget to give emphasis on overall development of a child… Bookish education just let them get marks or a 9-5 job (even longer😅)… You have presented education as overall and a basic need for the development of a child… After reading this annyone can easily learn the correct meaning of education… Thianks 😎
